Our dogs have 100% access to all things in our house, including furniture. In fact, we've been known to shop for furniture with them in mind, and to buy large enough furniture pieces so that all of us can fit. They're family members and we believe they deserve to be pampered. :)

I've actually bought furniture to match dog far so it doesn't look so bad. Of course anyone wearing black who sits on my couch figures out pretty quickly where Honey likes to sit.
Our biggest problem is that the rooms in our house are small so we only have loveseats. When we're watching a movie, there's just enough room for two people and Honey has to sit on one of our laps. She doesn't seem to mind a bit, though.
My dogs leave something akin to a breadcrumb trail all over our house in white and brown fur! Furniture be damned, our dogs like to get cozy and comfortable. Keep up the great blog!
