Welcome Penny
Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 8:15PM | by Elizabeth D and I went to our local pet store today to pick up a few items for Luna. What we did not intend to pick up (but did after hearts melted) was a little long haired doxie looking for a home. There was an adoption drive going on sponsored by a local rescue outfit, and this little dog was busy crawling into the laps of various people when we first caught sight of her. It just took one look from my dear husband, and we were both hooked. This little dog, originally named Betty Jane by her foster mother, quickly became ‘Penny’ on our drive home; Penny just sounded like it should be her ‘forever’ name. What we know of Penny is that she is just over a year old, she has been spayed, micro chipped, and is overall a very well balanced little girl. She is actually very subdued for a dachshund.
Please wish us luck with our new baby. The introduction to Luna has gone well, and I think with time the two will become great friends.

omg i am so excited for you! trot is a short hair mini doxie who lives with montego, my dads 85 lb golden! and they are total bros and besties. yall are going to have so much fun together!
